When I first met Erin, I knew we were a perfect match. Her heart is just so lovely and open; I was instantly excited to be there to record the first year of her first daughter.
We sat down over tea at Tea Bar and talked about what she imagined for her maternities and for her newborns, we talked about how crazy pregnancy is to your body and she expressed some anxiety over taking images of herself in her pregnancy.
A lot of moms are nervous about making portraits while pregnant; I hear a lot of women express regret though after the pregnancy has passed, that they didn't do it. You might not feel like the most gorgeous creature on earth but TRUST me, you look it.
Dad wasn't super big on being in the images either but we made it work; little Ella is going to love looking back on these and seeing how smitten daddy was with mommy.
And then, she was here.
And just like dad couldn't take his eyes off mom during their maternity shoot, mom had new eyes for dad.
It's safe to say the whole family was pretty obsessed with this new little cutie in the family. Erin told me that her mom even said , " i'm sorry but, I love her more than you!"
She is a beauty..
